Sub-Inspector Mohammad Alam, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Gupis police station, tragically died while leading a police team on a mission to apprehend the suspects responsible for the murder of a school teacher in Bhatrit, in a heartbreaking incident that has shocked the picturesque Ghizer district of Gilgit-Baltistan. In addition to the tragic death of a committed law enforcement officer, another innocent person also perished as a result of this regrettable incident.
An unknown gang opened fire in the neighborhood, which had been the intended target of the operation to apprehend those responsible for the death of a school teacher. SHO Mohammad Alam was killed during the gunfight, leaving his coworkers and the entire neighborhood in despair.
Niat Amin, a teacher at a government school, was also killed in the tragedy because she was just in the wrong location at the wrong time. Amin and his sister were on a motorcycle when they were suddenly killed by crossfire.
