Sub-Inspector Mohammad Alam, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Gupis police station, tragically died while leading a police team on a mission to apprehend the suspects responsible for the murder of a school teacher in Bhatrit, in a heartbreaking incident that claims lives and has shocked the picturesque Ghizer district of Gilgit-Baltistan. This incident claims lives not only with the loss of a dedicated law enforcement officer but also the death of another innocent person, adding to the tragedy.
An unknown gang opened fire in the neighborhood, which had been the intended target of the operation to apprehend those responsible for the death of a school teacher. SHO Mohammad Alam was killed during the gunfight, leaving his coworkers and the entire neighborhood in despair.
Niat Amin, a teacher at a government school, was also killed in the tragedy because she was just in the wrong location at the wrong time. Amin and his sister were on a motorcycle when they were suddenly killed by crossfire. The local community is inconsolable over the passing of a dedicated educator as they mourn a man who spent his life to influencing the future of their children.
Residents of Dahimal and the other villages protested the loss of innocent lives in the streets in response to this heartbreaking occurrence.
