You cannot enforce culture-Karan Johar
Karan Johar who is film producer and director was present in World Economic Forum Annual Meeting on Tuesday said that you cannot enforce culture on others.He also said that art has no limits and boundaries.
The panel was discussing “Can we avoid the spread of so-called ‘culture wars’?”He also said that there are so many social and economic problems but we are still on culture boundaries.
Once he was accused of being ‘non-Indian’ for casting a Pakistani actor in one of his films, Karan said, “Art should not have boundaries.”
He also commented on the issue of film Padmaavat and appreciated the decision of court.
While Alice Bah Kunke said that in politics, one needs to be very, very tolerant, Karan said “there is a risk that tolerating intolerance in others can be misconstrued as validation.”
